C4170-90959 3 Chapter Descriptions Chapter 1: Product Information This chapter describes features of the printer, including locations of external and internal assemblies, and gives safety and regulatory information. Use this chapter to form a basic service approach, and to get technical assistance. Chapter 2: Operating Requirements Chapter 2 details site requirements, including space and environmental specifics. The chapter also defines specifications for paper and other media with this printer. Chapter 3: Printer Configuration Learn to use the control panel, perform an engine test, and reset the printer. Chapter 3 contains options for configuring the printer through service mode, and also details about installing and using the Remote Control Panel. Network and IR printing is also explained. Chapter 4: Printer Maintenance This chapter discusses service check points, procedures for cleaning the printer, and how to use toner cartridges effectively. Chapter 5: Functional Overview The functional overview discusses each of the printer's stages to form and develop an image.
